Bocote is an intriguing species for woodworking because of the attractive variegation and patterns that are similar to Cocobolo. It has the same density as Cocobolo and is harveste d using mules! Very few defects are present in this stock. An occasional minor surface check may be present. Boards longer than 3 ft. may have a slight bow or twist up to 1/8".
