A rare pendant light, model 6403, produced by Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik in Stockholm. First appearing in the company's 1928 product catalogue (pictured), this model continued to be produced into the late 1930s — this example surviving in exceptional original condition. The lamp features a beautifully ribbed opaline glass shade held by a polished nickel-plated fitting, with a characteristic decorative finial at the base. Their pieces, ranging from chandeliers and pendants to wall sconces, were known for combining superior craftsmanship with the prevailing design currents of the time, from Art Nouveau through Swedish Grace and into Scandinavian Modern.
