Boiled wool fabric is crafted by agitating knitted or woven wool textiles in hot water, forming a dense and resilient material. Its matted surface reveals a cohesive texture with minimal visible weave, rooted in the natural interlocking of animal fibres during the felting process. This boiling process compacts the fibres, establishing a solid, unified structure alongside a heavy, sculpted drape. This Boiled Wool Fabric was sourced by hand, selected specifically for its dense, matted structure and robust tactility that impart a rich, utilitarian depth. Utilising state-of-the-art PBR capture methodologies, the material's surface nuances are accurately digitised, post-processed, and tiled for seamless continuity. Validated across various lighting conditions, this texture set delivers a photorealistic representation optimised for upholstery visualisations and apparel renders.
