Bois de Violette is a beautiful and very stylish violet base which gives the simplest, cleanest and most elegant form of a violet note to fragrances. While our Violette Bleue focus es on the modern green molecules found in violet leaves, Bois de Violette conveys the wild flowers in their entirety. This is the violet smell that floats on the air and surprises you on a walk through a cottage garden. If you pick just one violet, this is the one we recommend. In small amounts it can add a purple nuance while in overdose, as is, it contributes the finest violet note possible for a modern fragrance. This violet is built with rare ionone molecules so it really does add a special quality to a fragrance impossible to get otherwise. This base is classical in its conception but absolutely fits into a modern context perfectly. This is not an old fashioned violet, this is simply “violet”.
