This pattern is not painted. is the result of complex mixing and manipulati ons of coloured clay. The pendant has a pleasing curved shape, textured pattern on the back and has a matching bail made from polymer clay. It is designed to be hung from a smooth metal neck ring but can also be strung with ribbon, leather, buna cord, textiles etc Jewellery made with these complex patterns takes many hours to design and then to make the many manipulations of the clay to form the intricate pattern. A number for small pieces are cut and combined with great precision to make make the final piece. Once cured each piece is carefully sanded to give a smooth texture to the surface It can take between 20 to 50 hours to design and make jewellery with these complex designs. Only a few pieces are made with each design. Because of this complexity it is not possible to replicate this particular pattern exactly again.
