This allows the use of clean, standard-thread bolts instead of unprofessional self-tapping screws or other improvised methods. With this installation system, you can easily remove and reattach the fender at any time. If one breaks, replacement is simple—just use a standard M5 hex key. Each bolt comes with a rivnut and washer. Simply select the required number of bolts, and you'll receive everything together. More about rivnuts and their installation: Of course, you can use other types of bolts for overfender installation, such as self-tapping screws or bolts with regular washers, but rivnuts give you the option to fasten the components with clean, nice-looking bolts quickly and easily. Don't worry if you don't have a special rivnut tool – you can still install them using just a standard M5 bolt, a bigger nut, and a couple of washers. Once you've measured and marked the hole locations for the overfender, drill them with a 5mm diameter drill bit. If you have a rivnut tool, simply use it to install the rivnut into the hole. If you don't have a rivnut tool: Insert the rivnut into the hole, then take a bolt and slide 2-3 washers onto it. After that, place an M6/M7 nut on top (the key is that it should be wider than the bolt thread). Screw this entire bolt assembly into the rivnut. When the bolt becomes tight and can no longer be turned by hand, use a wrench and tighten the bolt until the rivnut compresses on the other side of the panel – that's it! The rivnut must be pressed tightly so that it does not wobble or spin around its axis. Once you've installed the rivnuts in all the holes on the fenders, simply use the bolts and hex screws to secure the fenders to the wing.
