One handy home owner can install the entire surface under the right direction (which we are happy to give). Bonded rubber, as opposed to poured in place rubber, is a one layer system. Once installed, it will stay in place, even on a hill. Consistent depth makes it safer than loose material, which displaces all the time and demands constant raking. The only other item you will need is aromatic binders. You simply create a nice solid base around the play set, usually using compacted crushed stone.
