This Beef Bone Necklace is 145mm x 40mm. It features paua shell pieces, a black 3 plait string, and a free box. Meaning: - The Manaia is a guardian figure that moves seamlessly bet ween the physical and spiritual world. This Manaia depicts the head of a bird, body of a man and the tail of a fish. The balance between the sky, earth, and sea. It acts as a kaitiaki (guardian) for the wearer and represents protection and balance throughout life’s journey. - In this design there are 2 Manaia, this symbolises protection of one person for another. This is also a sign of protection from all directions for the wearer. - The Tiki symbolizes good luck, charm, clarity of thoughts and great inner knowledge. For some the Tiki can also represent fertility, protection and strength. There is no general consensus on the meaning behind Tiki orientation (straight or sideways) and is often dependent on personal preference in modern society. - The Koru design draws from the unfurling frond of the native silver fern. It symbolizes the continuous movement of life, new beginnings, new opportunities, growth, and harmony. The Koru is a powerful representation of the cycle of renewal and change.
