Bone formulas usually lead on calcium. This one is more interesting for what sits alongside it.Two capsules supply 150mg of calcium, 150mg of magnesium as citrate and from lithothamnium calcareum, 30 micrograms of vitamin D3, 60 micrograms of vitamin K2 as MK-7 and 3mg of boron. Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones, magnesium and vitamin D both contribute to their maintenance, and vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.The K2 is the notable inclusion, supplied as MK-7, the longer-acting form. Many calcium products omit vitamin K entirely.The calcium comes partly from lithothamnium calcareum, a red seaweed, rather than from limestone.Cytoplan's directions are one to two capsules daily, so the pack lasts between one and two months.Boron is included at 3mg. It carries no authorised claim, but it is routinely included in bone formulas and is absent from most cheaper ones.Vitamin K interacts with anticoagulant medication. If you take warfarin or similar, speak to your doctor before taking this.
