size 1/2” Bonnetina is a awesome small genus of terrestrial species from Mexico that avaerge about 4 inches as adults. These spider typically have deep bluish femurs with pink and red hairs on the carapace and abdomen. Bonnetina are generally found from central to southern Mexico. While most Bonnetina are known to build burrows under rocks, B. tanzeri have been observed in open unprotected burrows. They can be found in tropical forests, oak forests and grasslands.
