Katie invites you into her studio to learn how to hand build your very own mug out of clay and sculpt boobs onto it (and a bum too if you like). Your mug will be glazed with a colour of your choice and fired twice in the kiln. This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same. The pottery you make in this workshop will be ready to collect in 4 weeks time (please note Katie is going on holiday for a few weeks over summer so this may extend the collection time). Katie has been working on some fun new glazes and will have a few different options for you to choose from including colourful glazes as well as a couple of neutral toned glazes too. The glazes in the photos here are not necessarily the ones you will get to choose from as Katie likes to change up her glazes from time to time. All of Katie's workshops are hand building classes, which means they are not on the pottery wheel. This means that you are able to make pottery of a higher standard without having to practice for weeks on the wheel first. This workshop is suitable for ages 12+ When? Saturday, June 20th, 10am-1pm Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi. What to bring? An apron if you have one.
