Sewing 101 Foundations Bootcamp6 Hours Each Day | The Design Studio at Boho FabricsAges 16+ Can't commit to a four-week series? Join us for our Sewing 101 Foundations Bootcamp—a two-day intensive version of our popular Sewing 101 course. You'll learn the same comprehensive curriculum as our traditional four-week program, just condensed into one immersive weekend. Perfect for busy schedules, summer travelers, or anyone eager to accelerate their sewing skills in a focused learning environment. Ready to move beyond simply sewing a straight seam and actually understand how sewing works? If your ultimate goal is to take our Apparel Sewing, Pattern Making, or Draping courses, start here. Unlike many beginner classes that focus on quick, trendy projects, this course is designed to build a rock-solid foundation of sewing skills that will serve you for years to come. Created by Emily Pritts, founder of Boho Fabrics, this apparel-focused curriculum teaches not only the techniques themselves, but also the "why" behind them. Throughout this intensive weekend, students will learn: Fabric handling and cutting fundamentals Professional pressing techniques Construction basics and seam finishes Curved seams, gathers, buttons, and buttonholes Zipper installation How to improve sewing accuracy and consistency Troubleshooting common sewing issues Foundational skills that apply directly to garment sewing, pattern making, and draping Students will also build a physical technique portfolio to reference long after class ends. Please note: Sewing 101 Foundations is a prerequisite for many of our advanced courses, including Apparel Sewing, Pattern Making, and Draping. To help create the best classroom experience possible, a minimum of 3 students is required for class to run. If minimum enrollment is not met, students will be notified in advance and may transfer to another session or receive a refund/store credit.
