Borda Barraquer is a fig with beautiful dark purple skin. The rich skin can even have a blue tint to it at times. The fig is symmetrical and has a teardrop shape. Borda Barraquer figs have a small cavity filled with dark red pulp. The pulp has a jammy texture, moderately intense berry flavor, and moderate sweetness. Expect Borda Barraquer trees to produce one main crop per year of medium sized figs. The trees are known to be highly productive and have mostly 3-lobed leaves, with some 5- and single-lobed leaves. Terms and Conditions: ***Please be sure to read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing cuttings*** When do we ship cuttings? Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December): We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March. **All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees. Rooted Cuttings(Spring): We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details. For all questions, please refer to our Fig FAQ page here.
