Borneo Kodo packs a punch that is unusual for the Kodo series, which is ordinarily built around subtlety and quietness. This oil arrives with a deep jungle incense smell from the very first moment — almost bittersweet, almost medicinal, with a softness running just beneath the surface that anchors the more assertive notes. There are green vibes throughout the composition, as though all the green smoke and jungle character that defines fine Borneo material has collapsed into an ancient resinous incense, threaded with the faintest touch of musk. It is the most extroverted oil in our Kodo series — the one that breaks the rule a little — and it works.
