It is not designed to work with flip-style cases or bulky covers, so a slim case or bare phone gives the most secure fit. Do You Need the Kiox 300 Mount Kit? The Smartphone Grip clips onto the same handlebar mount as the Bosch Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 displays, so if your e-bike already came with one of those color displays installed, you can swap it for the Smartphone Grip in seconds using the hardware that's already on your bars. If your e-bike shipped with only the LED Remote or Purion 200 and has never had a Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 display fitted, you'll also need the Bosch Kiox 300 Mount Kit. That kit supplies the 1-arm handlebar bracket and the display cable that connect the mount to your Smart System's power and data line, which is what gives the Smartphone Grip both a secure home on your bars and the electrical connection it needs to recharge your phone as you ride.
