Amazon.com Being the son of a renowned jazz guitarist can be daunting, but Bucky Pizzarelli's son John, a guitarist since the age of six, has been building a formidable career of h is own since fronting his first trio in the early 1990s. With Bossa Nova, Pizzarelli continues to pursue thoughtfully realized thematic projects. This set mixes exceptional versions of five songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim with luscious Brazilian adaptations of standards (including Gershwin's "Fascinating Rhythm") and a couple of Pizzarelli originals. The small ensemble interplay is warmly recorded, and the addition of chorus vocals and string or flute quartets on some of the material adds spice and variety. --David Greenberger Product description John Pizzarelli – Bossa Nova / Telarc Audio CD 2004 UPC 089408359125 /// Country: US Released: 2004 Genre: Jazz Style: Bossa Nova /// Tracklist: 1 One Note Samba 4:43 2 Fascinatin' Rhythm 3:53 3 The Girl From Ipanema 4:55 4 Your Smiling Face 2:57 5 Estate 4:58 6 Desafinado (Off Key) 2:36 7 Aquelas Coisas Todas (All Those Things) 5:28 8 I Remember 3:46 9 Francesca 4:32 10 Love Dance 3:40 11 So Danco Samba 3:30 12 Aguas De Marco (Waters Of March) 4:00 13 Soares Samba 4:56 Phonographic Copyright ℗ – Telarc Copyright – Telarc Backing Vocals – Chiara Civello, Daniel Jobim (tracks: 3) Bass – Martin Pizzarelli Drums – Paulinho Braga Guitar, Vocals – John Pizzarelli Piano – César Camargo Mariano (tracks: 7, 11,), Ray Kennedy (3) Tenor Saxophone – Harry Allen (2), ISBN13: B0001XAL14 ISBN10: B0001XAL14 Material Type: audioCD Show more
