“ Bossy Cows”won the people’s choice award of Most Favourite Painting at the Priddis and Millarville County Fair 2025 in Alberta Canada! I painted these cows for a couple reasons: 1. I’ve been wanting to paint more cows. Not just any cow and not just because everyone is painting cows. It had to be different…2. This photo when I saw it, spoke to me. And time after time when I went to choose which photo to work with for this one, there was something unique about what it communicates to me. I don’t know if I can even communicate in words why it captivates me so much. It’s the expression on the main cow’s face. Curious? Leader standing his or her ground? Taking charge? It’s interesting and so I deemed them worthy of painting 😄 This one is 8x10” framed with a repurposed solid-oak frame I found and restored 🙌🏻Reference thanks to @liam_alford_photography used with permission- thank you!!
