Botox® works by relaxing the muscles in the face that lead to creasing and movement. These movements create wrinkles and deep lines. Neuromodulators minimize or eliminate wrinkles and lines for a temporary basis of approximately 4-6 months. Amounts are distributed according to each targeted facial muscle. Popular treated areas are fired, between the eyes (eleven lines), Corners of your eyes (crows feet.) How much will I need? The amount for each individual varies based on their muscles. We would need you to come in for a proper in person examination, go over your medical history, and answer any questions you may have regarding this treatment. They will walk you through a treatment plan and what it will look like including the respective costs. (Will discuss how many units will be administered and which areas are being treated.) Is there downtime? When will I see results? Botox usually takes effect 24-72 hours after injection, and you will experience your full results within 1-2 weeks. We want to ensure you do come in for a follow up/touch up so our dr can take a look and make sure everything is settling in nicely. There is no downtime, just some post-care to follow. Please avoid laying laying down for at least 3 hours after injection, stay away from hot tubs, saunas or strenuous excersise for 24 hours. Limit alcohol consumption for the day and avoid blood thinning medication as these can avoid in bruising to the skin. We will send you home with detailed instructions as well. Other than that, enjoy your rejuvenated look and don’t forget to come back for your follow up! How often do I need to come in? Botox can last from 3-6 months, however you can be the judge of when you need to come in for your next injection. You will notice the muscle movement come back and we can get you in right away for your next appointment. How much does it cost? Botox at our clinic is $11 per unit, however we do not know how many units would be used on each individual and how many areas you would like to treat. For first time consultations with injectables, we do require a deposit of $250, this can be used towards your service with us, and it implemented to secure your appointment.
