White Industries square taper stainless steel bottom brackets The $20 Shimano cartridge BBs work great, if you want to go fancy and don't want to commit to the once-a-year maintenance of the IRD cup-n-coner, get this White Industries one, instead. They're made nearby in Petaluma and should be good for a long, long time. JIS taper for White Industries, Shimano, Sugino, Clipper, etc. (but not Campy) cranks. All our bikes have 68mm bb shell width except the Gus and Susie which have 73mm bb shell width.
