A dwarf-growing, semi-deciduous shrub with dark green foliage and bearing mauve flower bracts from late Spring and through to Autumn. Happily grows in either full sun or partial shade where soils are suitably moist, fertile and free-draining. Ideal for smaller gardens, growing in containers, topiary work or for planting out to create low-growing hedges. Can be grown in coastal locations. 'Bambino Bougs' are a compact form that have fewer thorns and are suited to planting in pots, hanging baskets and garden beds. Can be grown as shrubs, hedges, espaliers, standards, or ground covers. Very hardy requiring little watering and can handle dry hot spells. They flower profusely giving a stunning colourful display to any garden.Grows to between 1.2m and 1.5m both in height and width.
