The objects in this painting are symbolic of the sea and their importance to colonial life carefully gathered and placed within the composition. The Quandong seed acknowledges the traditional owners of the land and their displacement and endurance through this brutal time when people came across the ocean. This is an original oil painting, handmade in Western Australia.
