We’re thrilled to announce Lost Barrel Bourbon — a rare piece of distilling history. This extraordinary bourbon was originally imported from Kentucky, USA, into New Zealand in 2001 by South Pacific Distillery, one of the country’s first commercial distilleries, based in Nelson. At the time, our founder Terry Knight was honing his craft there as an apprentice, while also running his meadery in Golden Bay, producing the much-loved Le Champs De Miel. When South Pacific Distillery closed its doors, two precious barrels were tucked away through years of relocation and change. After 28 long years, we finally opened them. From the very first aroma, we knew this was something truly special — and something that had to be shared. Each bottle is individually hand labelled and hand numbered, marking its place in an extremely limited release and ensuring every bottle can be traced back to this singular moment in time. We will keep a small number of bottles back to release and share with you all on special occasions however once sold out, Lost Barrel Bourbon will disappear into history, becoming unobtainable and rare - a true collector’s bottle in every sense. 700mL 40%ABV
