Product Code: 5580 The replacement of structural timbers is an expensive and labour intensive operation. Generally complete replacement is unnecessary since rot is confined to those areas of the timber bearing on damp masonry seriously affecting the load bearing properties of the section. By using our bower beam it is possible, in a matter of minutes, to replace the joist ends and use the bearing surface previously occupied by the rotted timber. The bower beam if manufactured from 2mm KHR steel with our special supergalv finish and is supplied complete with all fixing bolts. The standard bower beam is designed for use on timbers ranging from 50mm to 152mm in thickness.
