The "Tantalus" Concept A Tantalus is a locked wooden stand securing whisky. Duncan Taylor’s version features a hand-blown glass decanter, encased in a handcrafted Tantalus made from the whisky’s cask staves, paired with a custom leather pouch for elegance and security. The Distillery: Bowmore Islay’s oldest licensed distillery (1779), Bowmore retains traditional floor maltings and a maritime character, with much of the distillery situated on the seawall.
