Boysenberries are a unique hybrid fruit; the product of meticulous cross-breeding between raspberries, blackberries, dewberries and loganberries. The resulting berry combines the r ich, deep sweetness of blackberries and dewberries with the bright, slightly tart notes of raspberries and loganberries. The berries are exceptionally large, averaging 3 cm long and 2 cm wide. Boysenberries are prolific producers while the vines are thornless, ensuring pain-free picking. Boysenberries prefer well-drained, slightly acidic soil and need full sun for optimal growth. They thrive in a trellis or fence system, as their vines tend to grow long and spread out.
