Much rarer than cloth passes, this credential indicates that the wearer had access to various areas during a tour. It's heavy-duty, laminated in plastic so that it would last for the entire tour. It cannot be separated or modified, and is even water-proof. Van Halen's laminated passes were usually only given to crew members, management, and close friends of the band. Furthermore, their inner circle became smaller over time, with fewer and fewer people ever given a pass. As with any collectible, the value is determined by supply and demand. The band produced only a small quantity, and there's been absolutely ZERO supply of this pass on the collector's market.
