Our Braid Beanie features a cozy double brim, a beautifully rounded crown, and a braid motif that is often found on traditional knitted garments in Himachal. Each hat is crafted by hand by the artisan women of Kullvi WHIMS in Naggar, Himachal Pradesh, using our softest wool. You will find beautiful variations in yarn thickness and colour in these handmade pieces, making each one unique. STORY Sarah designed this fisherman's style beanie in early 2019, with the aim of creating a colour block hat with a cushy stretchy double brim, and a perfectly rounded crown. Kusum took up the task of working out the pattern using local Lahauli wool, and after some attempts to attain the perfect size and drape, Vandana then set out to create colour combinations, and adding contrast colours to the braid.
