Designed by Sam Hecht/Industrial Facility for Mattiazzi, Branca is robotically made from a single piece of wood. The design allows for the back legs to support the critical joints of the armrest, the seat and the back. The joints are seen as but a part of the seamless nature of the chair and its simple outlines belies the complexity of production. Branca is inspired by wooden branches that turn, twist, meet and branch off. The result is comforting to the eye, to the hand and to the body. The Branca table is available in a Ash or white MDF top.
