Tall brass planter stand on a scrolled tripod base. Three curved legs terminate in volute feet with ball finials. Central turned column with baluster detail, flanked by three curve d braces connecting to a wide shallow dish top. All brass construction with original warm patina; some darkening at the column consistent with age. This form — tall brass tripod with dish top — was used as both a jardinière stand and a fern stand in French bourgeois interiors and conservatories. The scrolled legs and turned stem point to late 19th to early 20th century production. Note there is an open seam and some separation in the column as pictured which does not impact durability or functionality.
