The brass salt mill features a strong, food-safe plastic mechanism with an intricate cut system design to grind the salt rather than smash it, maximizing its flavour and aroma. Common salt mills only smash the salt which severely limits the flavour release. The grinding is done in three steps: First, it grabs and cracks the salt to break the larger pieces in half. Next, it cuts these pieces into even smaller bits and then finally, it sends the salt pieces towards the teeth to grind it into small, perfect sizes for seasoning.
