Bravo™ Hops for Clean High-Alpha Bittering and Bright Citrus Character Bravo™ is a U.S. grown hop, offered here in standard T-90 pellet form and developed for brewers who want strong bittering performance without giving up late-hop usefulness. Released by Hopsteiner in 2006, Bravo™ is considered a second-generation super-alpha variety and is known for combining high brewing efficiency with a cleaner, more pleasant aroma profile than many hops in the same strength class. Lot-specific flavor and aroma notes may include Orange, Lime. That balance is what makes Bravo™ so useful. It can serve as a dependable bittering foundation, but it also brings enough citrus, floral, and lightly tropical character to stay relevant in later additions. For brewers who want a high-alpha hop that does more than just add bitterness, Bravo™ can be a very practical choice. Flavor and Brewing Character Bravo™ is known for citrus and floral character, backed by sweet aromatic notes, light tropical fruit, and a mild woody edge. It tends to come across as cleaner and more approachable than many aggressive bittering hops, which makes it easier to build into recipes where balance still matters. In the brewhouse, Bravo™ is well suited to bittering and later kettle additions. It fits naturally in IPAs, pale ales, porters, and stouts, especially when the brewer wants efficient bitterness with some added aroma value instead of a purely neutral high-alpha charge. Why Brewers Choose Bravo™ Brewers often choose Bravo™ because it offers the efficiency of a super-alpha hop while still contributing useful flavor and aroma. It is a strong option when you want a cleaner bittering backbone, more flexibility in the hop schedule, and a variety that can support both structure and drinkability in the finished beer.
