Rubens Correa de Cunha Junior took over day-to-day management in 2019 and has focused on major farm renovations since. He's been replanting new varieties and upgrading the milling facilities. Where it comes from Espírito Santo do Pinhal sits in Mogiana, a growing region straddling the São Paulo–Minas Gerais border that's long been associated with high-quality Brazilian coffee. The area's altitude and mineral-rich soils, paired with a culture of careful farm management, are why lots from here consistently score well. Processing notes This is a dry process (natural) coffee: whole cherries are laid out with the seeds still inside and dried intact, letting the fruit's sugars work into the bean during drying. At Fazenda Boa Vista the cherries are first patio sun-dried, then finished in a mechanical dryer.
