Balanced natural process with tropical and berry fruits. A real delight for the senses. Hailing from the Sitio Canaã farm (which translates to “The Promised Land” in Portuguese), this micro-lot was grown by a legend-in-the-making, Kleumon Silva Moreira: 35 years young and mentored by one of the true coffee greats, Antônio Rigno. Sitio Canaã lies just outside the small town of Piatã, in Bahia’s Chapada Diamantina region, ranging from 1280 to 1340 metres above sea level. Chapada Diamantina translates to ”Diamond Plateau” in Portuguese, and for 100 years this area was mined for the gemstones embedded in its cliffs. Today, the region is famous for its specialty coffee. Rumble is truly proud to have purchased some of Kleumon’s first harvest and we’ve been buying his coffee ever since. Kleumon is young – just 35 years old – but has been working in coffee for well over a decade alongside his mentor, Antônio Rigno (of São Judas Tadeau).
