Big news! We have started a new yarn brand named Bread & Butter! It shares Verb's ethos of attention to the health of the earth by being sourced entirely domestically. Bread & Butter yarns are made from US grown wool, and are dyed, spun, and finished in the US. As the name implies, we envision these yarns as staples, wearable and comforting, that cover the range of thicknesses we want to knit with and wear. We are so excited to bring you the Verb experience at a lower price point, that gives us all a little break! So say hello to Bun, made of super soft US Merino wool, this chunky-weight yarn is thick, soft, and ready to be made into your favorite cozy hats, mitts, scarves, and sweaters. It knits up in a hot second so you'll be wearing it in no time. Bun features 22 beautifully blended colors that Kristine, the co-owner of Verb, created by carding and spinning by hand - as well as undyed natural white (Soft Serve). This palette was influenced by our love of hiking, gardening, and living in the Bay Area, and the colors in it are designed to work well together for color work projects. A fun, single skein project is Madrone Hat - extra cushy, warm, and soft. (Pictured in red.) If you are looking to knit a cozy sweater, try Mabel by Cocoknits. Check it out! ~~~ As this yarn is blended in small batches, when switching to a new skein, blend the yarn: when reaching the end of the skein, knit one row from the new skein of yarn, and then a row from the old skein of yarn. Repeat for 1-3 rows. As each dyelot may be slightly different, please make sure to purchase enough yarn to complete your project.
