It also works well as an iced tea. Brewed strong and poured over ice, the black tea base retains its shape and the bergamot remains bright and aromatic. How to Brew Breakfast Earl Grey Use water at around 95°C to 100°C and add one heaped teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes for a balanced, aromatic brew. For a stronger cup, extend to around 5 minutes. If adding milk, a 3-minute infusion keeps the bergamot brighter and more forward.
