Made-to-order rölakan flat weave rug designed by architects Claesson Koivisto Rune in 2006. Handwoven in wool on a linen warp, following the artist’s detailed instructions, this rug can be made in a variety of sizes. Each piece is entirely handwoven at our studio in Båstad, Sweden, established in 1919. From the careful dyeing of the yarns to the precise weaving, every step reflects our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. MATERIALS AND CAREThe rug is woven using wool on a linen warp. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and should not be washed too frequently, as this can strip the natural oils that protect the fibers. To ensure even wear, rotate the rug periodically. Regular vacuuming is beneficial, but avoid vacuuming the braided edges and refrain from using a vacuum with rotating brushes.
