In 1957, the brand released both a time-only dive watch, the Superocean Reference 1004, and a chronograph in the form of the Reference 807. Housed in an unabashedly hefty 46mm stainless case with a polished, blue ceramic timing bezel; a signed, screw-down crown; a sapphire crystal; a bezel-locking mechanism at 9 o’clock; and Breilting’s signed, stainless steel ‘slant-link’ bracelet with a signed, push-button deployant clasp, it's certainly not for the faint of heart (or wrist). The luminous, gloss-blue dial features quadrant 'baton' markers and square plots with polished surrounds as well as a stylized, luminous handset and a red-tipped lollipop seconds hand. Its attention-grabbing attribute, however, lies within a large, white chapter ring that houses a fully graduated minute track.
