Why We Love It Much like man's early forays into flight, this watch had a little bit of a bumpy start. In 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright made history when they conducted the first successful flight of a powered 'heavier-than-air' aircraft. That plane, the Wright Flyer 1, weighed 605 pounds and was constructed from a combination of wood, steel, cast aluminum and woven cotton cloth. It is from this historical machine -- and momentous occasion --that the Bremont Wright Flyer draws its inspiration. Furthermore, Bremont used the development of this Calibre, the BWC/01, as a test-bed for their future efforts - bringing properly scaled and vertically-integrated watchmaking back to the United Kingdom. In many ways, the Wright Flyer represented a shift in their business, and one that comes with sincere appreciation for the horological arts. This particular example comes with its complete full set and incredible presentation box, as well as its original signed leather strap and deployant buckle. In other words, a collector's dream.
