Ca’Viola’s “BRICHET” is a fruity, agile, and slightly spiced red wine made from 100% Barbera, from sandy-silty and calcareous soils. Brichet relates to Bric du Luv, as a “younger sister”, being the most ready to drink, everyday-wine of the Barbera line. Harvested third decade 15/18 days in heat-controlled tanks. Ageing and refinement for a period of 12 months in large casks. Appearance shows a deep ruby red with purple reflections. The nose is a feast of red fruit, and notes of undergrowth and sweet spices. A palate developing with freshness and juicyness makes this red a very enjoyable, inviting and agile in its food-companionship. Food match: wonderful in combination with pasta’s course, veal and pork preparations, game and fowl. Its savory and juicy nature makes it also highly gratifying with light-to-medium cheeses. Recommended serving-temperature of 14/16°C.
