Brightwell Aquatics Reef Code B - 500ml Brightwell Aquatics Reef Code B - 500ml is the alkalinity-bearing component of Brightwell's two-part calcium and alkalinity system for marine fish and reef aquariums. It is used with Reef Code A to help maintain carbonate hardness, pH stability, and the reef chemistry needed by corals, clams, coralline algae, and other reef-building organisms. Brightwell Reef Code B Alkalinity Component for Two-Part Reef Dosing Reef Code B provides carbonates and other buffering salts that support alkalinity in marine aquariums. When used in equal amounts with Reef Code A, it adds calcium and carbonates in the same ratio found in natural seawater, although individual aquariums may require different amounts of each part based on testing and livestock demand. Reef Code B 500ml Alkalinity and pH Stability Features Alkalinity-bearing half of Brightwell's two-part reef dosing method. Helps maintain carbonate hardness and pH stability in marine and reef aquariums. Ionically balanced with Reef Code A when dosed in equal amounts. Benefits reef-building organisms such as corals, clams, and calcareous algae. Stronger than many competing two-part products. Contains no phosphate, silicate, or organic material. Brightwell Reef Code B 500ml Strength and Chemistry Notes Size: 500 ml bottle. Use: Marine fish and reef aquariums. Product type: Liquid alkalinity component for two-part reef dosing. Recommended alkalinity range: 7 to 12 dKH. Each 1 ml raises alkalinity in 1 US gallon by approximately 2.22 dKH or 0.79 meq/L. Guaranteed analysis: Alkalinity or buffering capacity minimum 8,400 dKH or 3,000 meq/L. Ingredients: Purified water, inorganic carbonate, bicarbonate, sulfate, and borate salts with minor and trace minerals. Reef Code B Dosing Directions Shake well before use. Add 5 ml per 25 US gallons every other day, or as needed to maintain alkalinity between 7 and 12 dKH. Test alkalinity with an accurate test kit before making larger corrections. If alkalinity is below 7 dKH or 2.5 meq/L, do not exceed 5 ml per 10 US gallons daily until the desired level is reached. Do not mix Reef Code A and Reef Code B in the same container because precipitation will occur; allow at least 60 seconds between dosing each part. Maintain magnesium between 1,290 and 1,320 ppm for best calcium and carbonate stability. What's Included One 500 ml bottle of Brightwell Aquatics Reef Code B.
