Named after the Celtic goddess, Brigid, a healer and poet, she is often associated with the birch tree, a symbol of new beginnings. The Brigid Hat features a band of colourwork, between sections knit in the main colour, emulating the bark of her sacred tree. Knit from the bottom up in the round, a fully customizable brim is knit in 2x2 rib in the main colour to the length of your preference, to be folded as many times as desired. The band of colourwork is worked after the brim. This is followed by crown decreases, worked in the main colour to close the top of the hat. There are options provided to customize your brim and crown shaping, and modification options for fit adjustment, length adjustment, width adjust, and different yarn weights.
