Traditional handmade copper coffee pot (ibrik). Greek coffee is also known as Turkish coffee, Armenian coffee and with other names. This particular ibrik is made of copper which is tin-lined internally. Tin lining is used to prevent the contact of water with the copper, which can cause oxidation. Copper is more heat-conductive than steel which means that it heats faster. The long wooden handle is particularly useful to avoid burning your hands while making coffee.
