This incredibly creamy, rich, and indulgent cheese was created at a time when fat was considered a nourishing, flavorful, and beneficial product. Back then, it graced the tables of high-end gastronomic feasts and was described as the "foie gras of cheeses." It is a soft, triple-cream cheese that was officially registered on January 19, 2017, under the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), the European symbol guaranteeing quality and origin. FLAVOR: Its beautiful bloomy rind appears after a few days, imparting a rich taste of butter and cream, complemented by hints of hazelnut and mushroom notes stemming from the rind.
