Are you looking to massively upgrade the sonic palette of your P bass? The Bronze Fonz has 2 individual coils wired together to form a humbucking pair for each string. This arrange ment combines power with clarity, while also increasing string to string definition. Notes are crisp, mids are punchy, and your lows are well defined. The multicoil arrangement in the Bronze Fonz provides a wide range of wiring options, and it runs passively as well as it does with an active preamp. However, because its a multicoil, it pairs amazingly with filter based preamps like those made by Lusithand Devices. We offer it with 2 wiring options so that you can get the most out of this pickup. Filter preamp with 1 humbucker per string wiring (3 wires per piece): This option provides a hot wire for each coil pair, and a shared negative/shield wire. This is exactly what filter based preamps that have individual inputs for each string need. Series/parallel wiring (3 wires per piece): This option wires all the coils together in each piece. You can then run the pieces in series or parallel with each other. This option works great passively or with a regular active preamp.
