This peak, Mount Shasta, holds a personal landmark as my first 14,000 FT climb and snowboard down—a journey made all the more meaningful alongside my brother. Together in 2011, we took our first step into the bigger mountains, away from ski resorts, with snowboards on our backs. I didn’t know it at the time, but this trip helped me find fulfillment in each challenge with every upward stride. The night sky and Shasta's silhouette will forever mark a chapter in my life.
