This stunning hat was made from purple straw in the late 1930s. It comes in a perching style with a shaped low crown and a large brim trimmed with grosgrain ribbon. The crown is ad orned by pleated fabric in fuchsia, brown and pale pink. A large netted bow is tied around the crown to add further interest. Inside, hat elastic is used to keep the hat in place. Due to the perching style of the hat, it suits a variety of head sizes. The hat is in very good condition, however the original deep aubergine colour has faded to a lighter purple on top. Show more
