By connecting it directly to your skimmer’s venturi and using CO2 absorption media (sold separately), you can effectively raise your tank’s pH and create a more stable environment for your reef. Why Use a CO2 Scrubber? Eliminates excess CO2 – the primary culprit behind low pH. Boosts pH naturally – some tanks see an increase from 7.8 to 8.3 in just days (results may vary). Ideal for closed environments – where opening windows isn’t practical. Easy Setup & Maintenance Connect the tubing from the reactor to your protein skimmer’s air intake. Remove the refillable cartridge and add 1 Tbsp of RODI water to the bottom of the reactor body (without touching the CO2 media). Fill the cartridge with your preferred CO2 absorbing media and place it back. Monitor pH levels during the first few days. When pH starts to drop (typically after 1-2 weeks), replace the CO2 media.
