Bruce Clifford Gilbert is an English experimental post-punk musician born 1946 in Watford, UK. Gilbert was one of the founding members of the influential and experimental art-punk band Wire (1976-2004). He branched out into electronic music, performance art, music production, and DJing during the band's extended periods of inactivity and after leaving Wire has engaged in diverse solo projects and collaborations in film, art, dance and music.
