Brunnera macrophylla, commonly known as Siberian bugloss, is a dramatic looking perennial for any garden. The leaves are large and heart-shaped and do best in some shade. The plant will be 1 to 1.5 ft tall and 2-3 ft wide. Each leaf can grow to be 10 inches wide. Small blue, forget-me-not-like flowers bloom in airy, branched racemes rising well above the foliage in spring. Interesting to note that bugloss means ox tongue.
