Then multiply the total height by the width in inches, and divide that number by 144. Subtract doors and windows where you will not be installing. You will want to add 5 – 10% to this number for waste. This is the total number of square feet needed for the job. 3. Divide the total square feet needed by the square foot per box for the product you plan to purchase and round up to the next full box to order. If you need corners, follow the extra steps below. Example: 100” x 60” = 6,000” ÷ 144 = 41.66 square feet X 1.10 = 45.82 (Each box covers approx.16 square feet) 45.82 ÷ 16 = 2.86 Order 3 boxes of flats Actual colours may vary.
